What Time Is It In The Philippines?

January 18th, 2010

Before 12 midnight every new year’s eve, we are in the front of our television waiting for the countdown. Simply because our clock at home is always ahead 10-15 minutes to the standard time (like almost every clock and watch in the world) and we want to assure that we were going to welcome new year in accurate and exact time. I had noticed before that TV channels here in the Philippines has different time on their clock, but the gap are only seconds. But this previous new year countdown (2010) is a lot different, and weird. One TV network first to do the countdown, so we cheered, we made some noise and we welcomed 2010. I switch the TV channel to another network to check what’s going on, but I was so shocked when they were still one to two minutes away before 2010 countdown. For the second time around, we cheered, we made some noise and we welcomed 2010.

January 3rd, 2010

Did you find something new on my blog? I guess you already knew since it was too obvious on the title what I want to tell everyone (hahaha). But if you are still having a hard time, just look around and you will see a lots of Google Ads. Although this topic maybe non-sense, what made me to continue posting is that I applied to this program not just once, not even twice, but thrice. After the rejection of my first and second application, I hesitated to submit another one. Until December 21, 2009, after 5 months, for the third time around, I applied again. After 8 days of submitting, I received an approval letter from Google, and that’s it – my application in Google AdSense finally approved.
